Astia 100F is one of Fuji’s most loved slide films — clean, elegant color, beautifully controlled contrast, and that unmistakable “soft but rich” transparency look. Skin tones feel natural, highlights stay graceful, and the palette has a calm, premium vibe that’s hard to replicate now.
This roll is expired in 2005, but it was cold stored and has retained almost all of its color and sensitivity. I shot it at ISO 100 with no compensation, developed in E-6, and only did a white balance color correction in post.
Condition is excellent overall — the only flaw is that the backing paper print has lightly imprinted onto the film due to years of storage. It’s a bummer, but honestly, this is also one of the rare few chances left to shoot Astia in 120, and it still delivers that gorgeous Astia look.
